Audience Builder using Remote Query to Campus Solutions

For Audience Builder using PS query, there are 2 options available:

1. Internal within CRM data base where the query must reference to BO_BASIC_IND.

2. External using remote query via Intergration Broker.

Has anyone done the 2nd option before and advise on whether there are any similar rules governing it eg. certain tables must be selected (with reference to Campus Solution) and what contact information (email, phome, address) will it be pulling?
