General question about unsupported changes

Without going into a lot of detail I have a customer who us leaning towards making an unsupported change to the structure of their installed database.

does anyone know of an "official" document or section if text that specifically addresses non supported changes and how're they affect a support agreement?

iI'm assuming that Oracle support would help with technical issues that involve non supported modifications to a point but the customer is asking for an official statement.
