Query re Java Install on R12.1.3

Hi,

We are in the planning stage for an upgrade from 11.5.10.2 to 12.1.3 which will be combined with a migration to new more powerful servers. We are currently still using JInitiator 1.3.1.21 and are aware that it is not compatible with R12 so will be making the switch to JRE at the time of the upgrade, as I understand it comes as part of the R12.1 install. What I am trying to understand is whether we need to factor in any upgrade of Java as part of our upgrade plan or whether whatever is installed with R12.1 is sufficient?

Doc 455492.1 states that the R12.1 Rapid Install delivers JRE 6.0 on the database tier but what I'm not sure of is how that relates to the various versions that are available for download via
