Planning Exceptions

Hi,

We are using Oracle MRP for discrete manufacturing. We have a issue related to Planning Exceptions specifically for 'Items with Expired Lot'.

If i have safety stock of 75000 for Item A. And i have a inventory of 45000 (On Hand). This 45000 qty is distributed in 10 different active lots. If any of the lot is getting expired from it. Will it be considered in the expired lot exception ?

Or it shows this exception (Expired Lot) only when the on hand qty is more than safety stock ?


Please do let us know apart from expiry date, what is the basis on which lots are being identified as a exception ?
