Planning 11.1.2.2.3 Drop Down List Autofill in forms

In the previous version of planning when data form fields were populated with a selection from a drop down list the user could go to the field and type the first few letters of the data value it would populate the field without them having to open the drop down and select it.  In Planning version 11.1.2.2.3 it's not letting me do this.  You have to click on the drop down table and select the data value from the list.  The users feel like this is an extra step.  Is there a way to make it work like the older version.
