Patch/Upgrade deployment process

Hello, we are currently using webcenter sites 11gR1 (11.1.1.8.0). I got my hands on all the patch zip files, but I cant seem to be able to find a detail of the process to follow to install them. On each patch file, I’ve found a  readme file with (for example)this:

  1. Import elements/ElementCatalog.html,elements/SystemLocaleString.html and elements/SiteCatalog.html using Catalog Mover
  2. Update sites webapplication by deploying sites_webapp folder
  3. In the satellite.properties file, located in WEB-INF/classes of your sites deployment, change the value of transparent.content-type.pattern to text/.*|.*xml(?!formats).*
  4. Update CAS webapplication by deploying cas_webapp folder
