Accrual of compensation liability

Incentive Compensation module enables to calculate commission (compensation) based on percentage or target based or fixed amount using various factors and its payments are handled in payable module.

Under accrual accounting, one needs to accrue for such amounts as provision and payment will be reduction of provision. To my knowledge, the module does not provide for accruals. It only handles calculations and pushes payments in AP. I wanted to check how does companies across the globe create accrual of liability if its not handled by the module and is there any bug (or ER) to takes care of this requirement.
