Database account fail to login with an ORA-01017 when sec_case_sensitive_logon is set to TRUE

Greetings to all.

Tech Stack was the best place that I can think of to post this. If you have any ideas, please let me know as this works perfectly fine on several of my internal instances:

My customer recently applied patch 12964564: "1OFF:12.1.3:11GCS AND FNDCPASS USER EXIT MERGE CONSOLIDATION PATCH" to an E-Business suite 12.1.3 instance. Database is 11.2.0.2. The patch applied successfully.


The customer is trying to utilize the sec_case_sensitive_logon feature within the product. Looking at the init<SID>.ora, we see the following:

# The default for Oracle E-Business Suite databases is FALSE i.e. passwords are case-insensitive
