ORA-00020: maximum number of processes 300 exceeded

I am trying to figure out the reason behind ORA-20 error in an alert log file of a data warehousing database after migrating the database to a new server. I did a complete shutdown and copied all files over to new server. Before the migration i installed oracle software and compared opatch summary to make sure both source and target servers are running the same version of software. I haven't modified any initialization parameters except memory related ones since new server has got a better memory. I never came across this error before the move.There are Informatica data loads running
