How to get SiteId (or the current site PublicationID)

Hello guys, we are experimenting a little bit with multi-site configurations, and I wanted to know if there is a way of getting the SiteId (or publicationId) of the site where the user currently is. Would this vi achieved via ICS? Does it has to be on the template? Can I get this declaratively?
