Hi,

We created an ASM diskgroup comprising of 5 disks of 500GB each. And while trying to create a 2TB volume on top of that, it took very long. We thought its hung and we actually killed it (ctrl+c). Then tried creating a 100GB volume and that completed very fast. Then tried 900GB volume and that was slow but we waited patiently and it completed after about 10 minutes.

So, is 5 disks or 2.5 TB DG size or 2TB volume size a problem? Are we hitting any size limits? Or is this normal?

And if this is normal, then could it be that data access on that volume would also be slow?
