How to compress attachments and send them out via email

Dear Siebel Experts,

I would like to ask you, whether there is any best practice how to "zip" attachments in Siebel.  Basically requirement is to zip attached documents  e.g. under the order and then send this compressed file out via email.

For sending email I can write e.g custom e-script functionality  using "Outbound Communications Manager" however for zipping attachment I'm not sure what functionality can be used

Application -  Siebel eCommunication

version - 8.1.1.11   OpenUI is not enabled
