Oracle Contracts Integration with CRM

Hello,

Can someone please help me understand why the CRM module is intergrated with Oracle Contracts? I have an overview that the resources and groups that have access to the Contracts are created in CRM module. Are there any advantages as to why it is linked to the CRM and not to any other module for example User Management?
