Query on copy Item Cost in Actual Cost Type Organization

Hi all

Suppose all inventory organizations are using Actual Costing. Item A was purchased with a price of USD10 at 100 Ea and received into PR1. Another PO is created for item A at USD12 at 100 Ea and  received into PR2. Hence now PR1 and PR2 is having the item cost of USD10 and USD12 respectively.

There is a requirement that the item cost should be the same regardless of which IO it is received into, i,e. the item cost should be ((10 * 100)+(12*100))/200 = USD11. Is there any workaround/suggestion to achieve this?

Suppose I maintain a Standard Cost type for item A and manually obtain the overall average price. Can I then use the copy item cost to copy item cost from standard cost and override the actual cost? Will this be able to change the journal entries value to the desire item cost copied from Standard Cost Type.

Howdy, Stranger!
