Oracle11g Database - how to create a "wallet" to replace OS authentication?

Hello,

I just discovered that the parameter remote_os_authent has become deprecated. I now face the challenge to rewrite some of my code on UNIX which is in a secure area anyway. I read some people wrote you need to create a so called "wallet", but the info is usually pretty generic. I can't find anything in the Knowledge base so far.  Does anyone have a link to a document that would describe this process in a simple manner? This is not for a Windows, so it needs to be generated/used on a UNIX box. It's only used by one non-corporate user on the box to run night batches.
