Switching database destination with GoldenGate

Hi everybody,

We're planning to replicate a full database from node 1 to node 2 and from node 2 to node 3 using GodenGate. In case of losing node 2, is it possible to switch automatically, or at least in a fast and easy way, and start replicating from node 1 to node 3?

I'm newbie to GoldenGate. I know that other replication tools would need to start a new synchronization that imply sending a full copy of the replicated objects from node 1 to node 3. Does GoldenGate work in the same way?
