multiple customer versus multiple sites

We have one Client with 28 locations (different addresses), all accounting goes to one profit center. Currently we have set up AR Customer and set up 28 sites.

What would the downside be if we were to set up each location/address/site as its own AR Customer (28 Customers instead of one). So each AR Customer for each of the 28 addresses?
