Migrating the database from 10g to 11g with different characterset

Hi,

I am going to migrate the database from 10g to 11g with different character set i.e utf8 to AL16UTF16.   So would like to know what is the best method whether it is export/import or inplace upgrade.

Your early response is very much appreciated.

It is to upgrade the database 10g/UTF8 to 11g/AL16UTF16..on Solaris Server.
