Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. MOSC will now require that member accounts in our community be associated to a *corporate* email address. DBCA (8i) Fails with Ora-12560: TNS: protocol adapter error

Hi,

on 8i Standard on Win 2003

creating a DB with DBCA (8i) Fails with Ora-12560: TNS: protocol adapter error.

The user who runs DBCA is in ora_dba group. And in sqlnet.ora I tried the followings :

#SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NTS)

SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NONE)

But always fails.

Any idea ?
