Performance of Physical Temporary Table

Hi All,

We have a process, that inserts a million transactions in a table, and the user generates a report and then the transactions are deleted. The insert and the select queries are very slow. Can anyone suggest if you have come across this kind of situation and suggested a Performance Tuning, which greatly improved.
