cluster node didnot turn up after grid install/reboot.

Database Platform - Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release (64 bit) version 6.3

Database Version - Oracle RDBMS Enterprise Edition version 11.2.0.3

Configuration Details:

ASMLib was not used in this installation as the OS version does not support Oracle ASMLib as well as the RedHat kmod-oracleasm. So UDEV was used for ASM device management. The shared devices are presented from SAN as LUNs and use multipath.

  UDEV rules are configured as below.

ENV{DM_NAME}=="mpathd"
, NAME="OCR_VOTE1", OWNER="grid",
GROUP="oinstall", MODE="0660"

Started UDEV using /sbin/start_udev

Devices are visible in /dev/mapper/mpath* and also /dev/OCR*

ASM disk-string given during installation is /dev/mapper/mpath*
