Primary Ledger Accounting Flexfield - Dependent to Independent

Key Flexfield Segments (General Ledger, Accounting Flexfield): A dependent value set was configured for our company segment. In Accounting Setup, in the Update Balancing Segment Values page, under the Ledger Information heading, the Primary Ledger's Value Set displays and under the Balancing Segment Value Assignments heading, the same Value Set is listed.

The requirement then changed. For Key Flexfield Segments (General Ledger, Accounting Flexfield): An independent value set was then configured for our company segment. The Accounting Flexfield was unfreeze and the dependent value set was replaced by the (new) independent value set. The (old) dependent value set was renamed. Now, in Accounting Setup, in the Update Balancing Segment Values page, under the Ledger Information heading, the Primary Ledger's Value Set [(new) independent value set name] displays and under the Balancing Segment Value Assignments heading, the (old) dependent value set name is listed.
