vsftp issue - assistance needed

Hi,

I would like to ask you for assistnance solving the issue concerning vsftpd. I need to transfer huge amount of data from my OVM repository attached to OL5 based server. the path to files is: /OVS/Repositories/.../VirtualDisks. I have made this path home directory for ftp user but when I connect with filezilla I can see only /OVS's contents which is Repository folder.

Can you please assist? I will go mad with this... Is there any other way to transfer files FAST on linux than ftp? SCP and SFTP reaches up to 16MB/s while I have over 1TB to transfer.
