How to monitor or get alert if OEM Agent is down

Hi All,

We are running various oracle version of database from 9i to 11g and we have OEM configured in 10.2.0.5.

We observe that many  time the Agent is down on the respective Database server and we never get notified as the agent itself is down, so we are completely unaware whats is going on that particular database

So, Could anyone please help me to configure the alert whenever agent is not reachable or down on database server.

I believe there is option within OMS or this needs to be configured outside of OEM using shell script or anything else

Can somebody throw light on this.
