Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. How does Sequence caching works in RAC database on multiple nodes

Hi All,

We are facing some issues trying to understand how exactly sequence caching works in RAC DB on multiple nodes.

The problem is if we run alter sequence ddl on a sequence connecting to one node, does it remove cached sequences on all nodes.

DB version - Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.4.0 - 64bit Production.
