Cost upate of WIP (std costing) : cannot find these in cost history or cost update screens

we are on 12.1.3 and use std costing

We are seeing cost update transactions in the wip value summary screen for some discrete jobs but when we go to view cost history or view cost update screens we do not see any cost update on the assembly of that job which could have revalued the job  and caused the cost pdate transactions on the discrete job .Any idea what maybe driving these .
