COGS Recognition Program error

we are running into this error when we run our cogs recognition process

CST_RevenueCogsMatch_PVT:EXCEPTION- CST_NO_OPEN_GL_PERIOD l_sob:1 - l_period_name:MarAdj-14
OTHERS EXCEPTION IN Match_RevenueCOGS:ORA-01086: savepoint 'CREATE_COGSRECEVENTS_PVT' never established
ORA-01403: no data found
ORA-01403: no data found
There is no open GL period for Ledger 1 in or after period MarAdj-14.
One of these future GL periods must be opened before COGS can be properly matched to Revenue.
Unexpected error in CST_RevenueCogsMatch_PVT . Match_RevenueCOGS ( 50 )


we have only defined our calendar to end with Mar-14 as our fiscal year is Apr-13 through Mar-14 so this doesn't make much sense to use--can anyone explain what is causing this?
