Can we use Join field as Primary ID field?

Hi,

Here is the scenario for which we have used join field as primary ID field but primary is not getting set properly.

Under Service request, we are creating new consumer and add address for the consumer. This address is consumer address, not the service request address. In Contact>Consumer, when we do query for the Consumer, consumer record is available but not the address. Once we click on the address mvg, primary address will be displayed but not on the first attempt. We have checked the configuration, it is like this. In Service request BC, we have a join field based upon contact which is also primary id field. When we associated the address with new consumer, primary address is checked but cant
