Question regarding variable credit class configuration and FA progress units

We have a course that needs to be set at zero FA Progress Units as the course cannot receive FA.  It’s COEN 4950.  But because it’s a variable credit class, the system is not allowing us to set FA Progress Units to zero at the catalog level or at the adjust class association level….the FA Progress Units is grayed out on these components for a variable credit class.  What other options do we have?
