Step Quantity Understading

Hi All;

Please clear understanding on defining and usage of Step Quanity on Routing and Usage on Batch.

We have created a routing, and defined multiple steps operations with step quanity of each operation. At the time of working on bacth does it caluclate actual stesp quanity on auto basis without defining step material association.

Secondly; when we transact product on batch using backflush option and produce partail product quantiy. Shall at this stage system show the remaining process quanity at each step as well as for ingeridient and product remaining quantity?
