Oracle Enterprise Manager Install

I am trying to install OEM 12c.  I have my database 11gr2 installed.  When I run my installer, it says that enterprise manager is already on this server.  It gives me a command to deconfigure.  I run the command giving the SYSMAN and SYS passwords.  I get an error back saying that the username/password for sysman is invalid.  Has anyone encountered this before.  The initial OEM was deleted before and I don't see any remnants of it.
