UEK3 missing kernel modules

edited Mar 18, 2014 12:00PM in Linux Operating System (MOSC) 1 commentAnswered

Hi

I noticed that 3.8.13-26.2.1.el6uek.x86_64 is missing xt_tcpudp and x_tables modules.

It came to my attention while trying to use iptables connlimit match extension. This

functionality is present out-of-box in Debian stable "3.2.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian

3.2.54-2 x86_64 GNU/Linux". This is rhetorical question, but what kind of

supposed-to-be-server distro kernel leaves such things out? Are there any plans and

timelines for including this functionality in UEK3 kernel or am I only left with building

(unsupported) custom kernel?

thanks
