Data migration from Oracle 9i to Oracle 12c

First of all I already did a search, but mostly the latest version is Oracle 11.

What is the best way to do a full migration from Oracle 9i to Oracle 12c. Which means to a new hardware with Oracle 12c installed. At the moment that is all the info I have.

What is the pitfall that I need to look into, in case of from Windows based 9i to Linux based 12c, etc.

Since its 9i, I have to use exp. Am I right? What tools do I need to use on 12c to import?

I'm currently reading Oracle document Upgrade,Migrate & Consolidate to Oracle Database 12c by Roy Swonger and Mike Dietrich. But at around 500 pages, I'm not sure if it has all the info and pitfalls.
