Apply changes to project max-file-descriptor on Solaris 10 5/08

edited Mar 17, 2014 2:46PM in Oracle Solaris System Administration (MOSC) 1 commentAnswered ✓

Good day.

I have made changes to process.max-file-descriptor on /etc/project to a project however I don't see changes on prctl $$ after the change, I have restarted the ssh daemon, log-in with the user and recheck, but still there is the limit of 1024, ulimit -n 1025 says "ulimit: bad ulimit", PROJ is the default project of the user.

I did projmod -A PROJ to apply the changes but still, don't see the changes applied.

Maybe there is another place where the limit is set, or maybe I need to restart the server to see the changes?

Thank you for your help.
