Performance test for DB in Sites

Hi,

Our DB team is going for OLTP compression and asked us for setting up a benchmark to judge the performance.  As we don't have heavy SQL query in sites to test the time, kindly suggest the parameter/way on which I can judge whether my application take more time after OLTP or what?
