Parent item primary location going negative at time of work order entry

Have anyone ever seen the following scenario? You enter a
WO and inventory for the parent item immediately goes negative when you enter
the WO. Then when you complete the WO that negative quantity disappears from
primary location. I have never seen that but then I never looked at the primary
location at order entry.
