Unable to login into Essbase Studio

Hi All,

I am getting the below error when trying to login into Essbase studio:

"Unable to retreive connections"

Reason - Runtime error, Line 1

Everything was working fine till yesterday night and not sure what happenend suddenly.

It seems like the connectivity between the Essbase and the Oracle database should be in out of sync due to which it is not able to communicate to retrieve the data sources.


Analyzed the studio logs and other relevant logs but they are not much informative to narrow down this issue.

Tried the  “reinit” command from the CPL window through the “Command Line client” option under Essabse studio and restarted the Studio service but unfortunately that dint fix the issue. Also checked the Database connectivity and the schema user is active. Able to see all the CP tables in it.
