Applying Hold and releasing hold on Multiple items at once

Hi,

We have a requirement to apply and release holds on several items at once. Currently with Define Hold sources form available with Order Organizer form, it is only possible to apply hold on one item at a time. It is cumbersome for users, in case we need to do the same for 100 or 200 items. Same with releasing holds. In this regard, we are trying to find a solution, even if it is custom solution to accomplish this. I would like to understand from guru's in this group for a suggestion on possible solutions for this requirement.

Does the OE_HOLDS_PUB work well to mimic the functionality of the form? Does any one know if the form users the same API or not? Please let me know.
