Recategorizing Inventory Items

Hello,

I would like to know what is the best practice method to have existing Inventory items recategorized?

Our business is changing such that we need to start doing spend analysis on Inventory. We need to recategorize our inventory items to an international standard (do not have that detail yet). We are currently using 4 segments and their data is merged into the category_concat_segs column to define the full category value and the description is carried in the category_description column
