[SR 3-8693689001] FO Processor Engine (XML/XSL) Translate Issues

We are using BI Publisher Java API (Version 5.6.0) with FO Processor Engine for generating an PDF report from an XML and XSL file.
We are able to generate the PDF, but we have problems on translating the content.
The implementation was done according to following link http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/bi.1111/e18863/javaapis.htm#autoId17
Unfortunatelly, on the BI Publisher Online Documentaiton there is nothing specified on how to translate plain XML and XSL.

- Could you privide us some examples or a detailed documentation for the FO Processor Engine Java API?
- Is BI Publisher able to translate XSL attributes?
