Regular Sales Order - Branch Plants from 2 different companies

I am investigating the possibility of creating a regular Sales order to be fulfilled by multiple branch plants, one of which belongs to a different company than the order header - e.g.

Order Header: KCOO = 1000, MCU = 123

Order Detail Line 1: KCOO = 1000, MCU = 123, CO = 1000

Order Detail Line 2: KCOO = 1000, MCU = 456, CO = 2000

I have successfully been able to take the order through to Sales Update, except that I still need a little setup in the area of AAIs. I am wondering if JDE allows/caters for this as my concern is that in future updates this scenario is not supported.
