Payment voided before Maturity date

Hi Guru's,

               I have created a PDC paymnet on 1-Dec-2013 with Maturty date of 15-Jan-2014. Now the payment has got matured as on 15-Jan-2014 & the current status of the payment is Negotiable. but due to some Internal reasons, now we want to void the payment by keeping the GL date as 31-Dec-2013. .

            Now my question is " Can the payment which got matured, be voided before the maturity date. Please advise.
