Hugepages vs AMM

I have an 11.2.0.3.4 single instance database using ASM on Oracle Linux. We currently have hugepages turned on. I wanted to turn on AMM, and we did find the documentation stating don't do both.

So which is better? in what case would we want to turn off hugepages and go with AMM?
