RMAN 11g with TSM TDPO

Hi everyone,

I am looking at setting up RMAN (12c) catalog to backup Oracle 12c and 11g databases running on the AIX 6L PPC.

Currently we use user-managed backup, which is scheduled and handled by TSM 5.5.2.

The storage hosting the backup is:

Daily backup goes to SAN-DISK first, then migrate to Data Domain for de-dupping and compression, retained for 31 days.

Monthly backup goes to a SAN-DISK first, then sent to tape, retained for 12 months.

Have anyone had implementation experience in RMAN/Tivoli TDPO/Oracle backup?

I want to get insights on:

1. Which RMAN output format I should choose: BACKUPSET or COPY if sending files to Data Domain
