Currency Formats in XML templates.

We have numerous custom GL reports in the Oracle ebs. We have RTF layout templates that are attached to concurrent programs. My objective is to have the currency columns formatted in oracle based on the country of operations

E.g In the US we use 999,999,999.99 brazil used 999.999.999,99

What is the best way to achieve this capability? Can this be managed in the RTF template or should this formatted by the query that integrates with the RTF.
