Can the current CRM Pod be referenced in an expression?

In our environment I have multiple workflow email notifications being sent out.  Each notification includes an HTML link back to the originating record, (for example a Service Request.)  Each time our production pod is cloned to staging I have to go in and change these links manually.  Does anyone know if the current pod ID can be pulled into the expression builder to avoid this?  This is proving to be quite a chore; I apprciate any words of wisdom anyone has to offer.
