Preventive Maintenance - altering Scheduling options from Scheduled Start to Actual End

Has anybody had issues altering the scheduling options from being scheduled start/end to actual start/end? I know there are issues around the dates no longer being 'perfectly' in sync as i may no longer have an exact 12 months between inspections.

i have tried to do this in a test environment and functionally it appears to work - just wondered if anyone has any experiences that i am missing
