Create an IB item instance with warranty contract with past dates

Hello All,

We are trying to create an IB item instance with warranty contract using api, CSI_ITEM_INSTANCE_PUB.CREATE_ITEM_INSTANCE.

We did these:

1. Set the flags on Inventory Item on Service Tab as needed.

2. Create a BOM for the serviceable item with the warranty item.

3. Set the CSI Contracts Enabled profile

We are able to successfully create an item instance with warranty contract for current dates, but when we try to create the same for past dates it doesnt create the warranty contract!

How can we rectify this issue?!

I see that the BOM we created has component effective dates as the day when we created the BOM, could that be a problem.I tried changing that to past year date and it wouldnt allow me to do so.
