Revision tracking and flex asset definition changes?
I was reading "Impact Of Not Disabling Revision Tracking For Upgrade To Sites 11gR1 (Doc ID 1516027.1)": https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/DocContentDisplay?id=1516027.1. It states the importance of disabling revision tracking against some specific object types before upgrading because of the changed object structure during the upgrade process.
Is this a special case which only applies to this upgrade and isn't relevant to normal operation of WCS? E.g. if we had a flex family defining articles, which had revision tracking enabled, would we need to disable revision tracking (and I assume, wipe the revision history) every time we wanted to change the structure of the article definition? Does the same answer (whatever it is) also apply to basic assets?
