After customer acceptance Quote changes into 'Entered' with increased sequence no.

Hi Team,

Not sure what happened today, now when I get the quote approved from 'Pending customer acceptance' status it is successfully convert into the 'Entered' status however, I found the sequence of the Quote changes when it becomes a Sales order (i.e. as we know 'Entered' status reflects that 'quote' is changed into the 'Sales order')

For e.g. if the Quote number is 112, however once it comes into 'entered' status it becomes 113 and I cannot search Sales order with number '112' any more.

Please advice what happened to resolve my issue. Currently, I am using the negotiation flow => "Negotiation Flow - Generic with Approval"
